The Brief
Redesign a weather app through the lens of a legendary designer.
I chose Susan Kare, the designer behind Apple’s first icon system, who turned technical limits into clear, human-centered design. I used the pixel as my base shape, softening and modernizing it while staying true to her core values: simplicity, clarity, and playful interactivity.
Inspiration — Susan kare

Long story short
Susan Kare is a pioneering graphic designer best known for creating the original icons and typefaces for Apple's Macintosh in the 1980s.
Her minimalist, pixel-based designs, such as the Happy Mac and the Trash Can, set the standard for user-friendly digital interfaces and remain iconic in design history.
Kare’s work has shaped the visual language of computing, making technology more approachable and human-centered.

Navbar - To plan it, you need to put yourself in the shoes of someone flying, what they’re going through, and what they’re thinking about.
Imagine you’re 25 days before your flight. When I enter the screen, is there a more general and abstract way to say it will probably be cool, or in percentages, or what happened last year? Other ways to predict. Maybe over time it becomes more validated?
Me
Thanks i will work on that!

Round 2/3 — improving weather screen

Text sizes - Maximum 28, minimum 16 size. Limit to 3 font sizes.
Headings - Running text, meta text data (percentages).Sliders - It looks like something you should move, but it’s not. Find another display solution.
The main square looks like an advertisement - either make it blend better or a card that can open? Right now, it’s a banner, which is static and very different.
Me
Thanks, i think i am on the right path.

Typography
I was looking for a font with soft pixel edges, and a friend recommended Ezer Euro.
It fit perfectly with the concept and design language I’ve started to build.
